Day 7
Monday, March 9, 2009

back to lessons. (:
the Deputy Principal of NP actually came over and talked to us for awhile.
honestly, i have never seen him before. =X

well, i feel that the most important thing he mentioned was this:
that we shouldn't compare between Singapore and China in a negative perspective. (:
they have done their best to accommodate to our daily needs;
i believe for them to organize this study trip for us wasn't an easy job at all.
there are many considerations that they have to take note into to make our study here fulfilling, experiential, fruitful and of course, meeting the objectives itself. (:

today was a little different though.
we didn't went anywhere else after lessons but just staying around the hostel area.
and there was a purpose for that; to celebrate Joey's birthday. (:

this is Joey.
you can see that the cake will definitely be huge!
we were amazed by the size of it when we first saw it.
hahahaha.

and when the cake cover was lifted..
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

everyone went "WAH...."
hahahaha.

it was really huge and looks so tasty!
it was a lemon-flavoured cake.
our eyes were just stuck on it throughout because we miss the taste of cake so much!
but we weren't salivating or drooling okay.
hahahaha.

this is a group photo of Joey's close friends and room mates.
still with the huge cake. (:

when the lights were switched off and the candles were lighted up,
everything suddenly felt so homely.
everyone just sang the birthday song;
it felt as if they are friends whom we have known for such a long time. (:

Joey made her 19th birthday wish.
she made it while we were singing the birthday song.
hopefully it will come true. (:

a group photo of us with them.
i feel a certain emotion looking at this photo.
happy, blissful, contented.
everyone smiled widely, showing how much we are glad to be there.
indeed we were. (:

well, birthday parties are always meant to be fun.
it all started when nadiyah smeared some cream of the cake on zee min's face.
after that, everyone just went crazy; including our Chinese friends.
i guess they never really celebrated birthdays this way.
we made it different; their presence made it special. (:

all the smiling faces. (:

birthday girl. (:

and after all the smearing and smashing of cakes, we played a game of truth or dare.
xinhui had to call a random guy and ask for his name, age and say "ehem ehem.." to him.
zee min had a little of her hair cut.
and randolph? hahaha.
only those who were there would know. (:

we really had fun even if it was only for a short while. (:

today felt homely. (:
